| Why Hooky Mat Records? |
| This small label specialises in making home recordings of musicians and singers from the North East of England. An important part of the recording space is the array of mats and rugs used to help deaden reverberation, foot-tapping and other interesting, but mostly unwanted, noises. Pride of place among these essential coverings is a Hooky Mat in the possession of Heather Robb. It was made in 2000 by Lilly Rochester and is shown below in its full glory . |
